Gem Island Resort & Spa is your ultimate private island getaway with only one resort. It is one of the few privately owned islands in Malaysia built with its superb natural beauty still intact.

Gem Island is located in a Marine Conservation Park with crystal clear waters, a spectacular underwater seascape of corals and marine life as some of its natural wonders. Built along the ridges of the coastline and maintaining its lush greenery, it offers facilities such as an in-house Spa for you to enjoy a luxurious holiday and rejuvenate all your senses.

The convenient location of Gem Island can be reached by a scenic drive along the East coast or a swift flight, either by Air Asia, Malaysia Airlines or Firefly to Kuala Terengganu (TGG) – Firefly now flies directly from Singapore to Kuala Terengganu. From the airport, a 30 – 40 minutes drive by road to Marang Jetty and then a 15 minutes boat ride to the private island resort.

Your home away from home at this private island resort of Gem Island is a romantic boutique retreat with 45 sea frontage villas hugging the coastlines while preserving its natural environment.

Each villa is tastefully furnished with air-conditioning and a fan, a balcony with swing chair, a king size bed and a day bed, TV with satellite channels, tea & coffee making facilities and attached shower room and toilet.

Gem Island Resort & Spa houses a restaurant that serves Local, Chinese and Western cuisine with fine wines and liquors to accompany meals while the Gemm Shoppe offers souvenirs and basic conveniences. The Tusita Spa offers full body oil massages and various Spa packages to rejuvenate your senses by our trained masseuse for a perfect holiday.

Quick Fact

Electricity :

The resort’s electricity is powered by generator sets, thus there will be a break of 3 hours daily from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm.

Water :

Water for the resort is channeled from our wells in Kapas Island, filtered and pump to the villas for guests shower and toilet. Thus do not expect the water pressure to be strong.

Swimming Pool :

The resort also have a small swimming pool or dip pool pumped with sea water.

Internet :

There is no wifi but guests are able to use the mobile broadband available in our computer for internet purpose for a fee of RM10 per 30 minutes block.

Pets :

We strictly DO NOT ALLOWED pets in the resort.
